What you'll be doing?




Supporting the business and our divisional offices, our Head Office functions cover all departments from our Executive Board through to our support functions such as Group Design and Technical, HR, Health and Safety, IT, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, as well as Legal and Company Secretariat. We also have a specialised function - Barratt Partnerships.

While the work varies from team to team, our key requirements don't: you must be well organised, extremely helpful and resourceful, and able to use your initiative. You'll understand that what you do is important, and impacts on your team, the department, and the wider business.

Reporting to the HR Shared Service Manager, you will provide administration support to the HR Shared Service Centre in line with the company policies and procedures. Providing a high level of customer service to all stakeholders in line with agreed Service Level Agreements.

Key responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service to employees and managers, answering employee inquiries and concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Ensure that all HR related administration is processed effectively and appropriately and within set timeframes. Maintain accurate and up to date records using iTrent, Eploy,
Docushare, HR Hub and LMS systems to record data and ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
Administer the change of terms process during the employee lifecycle including coordinating the administration of the salary review and bonus process. Compile onboarding paperwork and contractual documentation using the iTrent system to complete the new starter process. Ensure compliance for new starters. Deliver the leaver process, update iTrent / third party companies and compile the necessary paperwork. Working closely and collaborating within the existing service centre team in providing administration support on family friendly processes. Send out any company wide communications to the business as required. Ensure that all personnel files are compliant with GDPR guidelines. Signposting Line Managers to ensure they have the relevant tools and supporting documentation to support the employee lifecycle. To work with the payroll team to ensure all necessary documentation is compiled ahead of the monthly/weekly payroll run. Promoting the Group support offering that is available to individuals and signpost to these services. The role is subject to change based on the evolution of the HR Shared Service Centre and the supporting technology.

What you'll need?




To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
Previous administration experience, within a HR setting would be desirable. An understanding of core HR policies and processes. Highly organised and flexible with the ability to reprioritise at short notice to meet the needs of the business. Demonstrate a strong attention to detail. Experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders. Professional in dealing with internal and external customers and demonstrates a high level of customer focus. Able to respond to queries and concerns in a friendly, helpful and professional manner. A team player who strives to actively help others. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proactive, self-motivated and seeks to improve processes. Proficient in MS Office, HR information systems, and other relevant software applications. High degree of discretion and confidentiality required.
