Job Description

The HR Systems and Process Director at MUFG Investor Services will be responsible for overseeing the HR technology infrastructure and ensuring that all HR systems and processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with the company's strategic goals. This role requires a balance of team management, strategic thinking, and hands-on involvement in system issues and changes. The ideal candidate will be adept at leveraging technology advancements including AI to enhance HR operations while maintaining a keen eye for detail.


With a focus on developing the functionality of the People Systems, you will look to maximise automation from the system, coordinate any integration activities to other systems and ensure ongoing operational efficiencies. All this is to be managed through considered and documented processes.


Reporting into the Executive Director, Reward & HR Operations, this is a unique opportunity to provide expert process and subject matter expertise in a fast-growing investor services organisation.

Responsibilities of the Role



Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement HR technology strategies that support MUFG Investor Services' overall business objectives. Stay abreast of the latest HR technology trends and innovations to ensure the company remains competitive. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of HR systems professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture. System Oversight: Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of HR systems. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations. Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and eliminate complexities. Project Management: Lead HR system implementation and upgrade projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to achieve project goals. Issue Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for HR system issues, troubleshooting problems, and implementing solutions. Ensure timely resolution of system-related issues to minimize disruption to HR operations. Collaboration and Coordination - Build strong relationships with internal technology, Information Security and Data privacy teams to ensure HR projects are suitably supported and in accordance with required regulations. Documentation - ensure HR systems architecture is maintained and role-based access controls are reviewed regularly. Vendor Onboarding/Renewals/Budgets: Coordinate all HR system vendor review processes so platforms meet required business objectives. Manage annual system renewals processes to ensure aligned to budgeting guidelines Reporting and Analytics: Be able to use data and reporting to show the efficiency of the HR Systems and identify areas for improvement of HR processes

Qualifications


------------------


Third level qualification in IT/Computer Applications/Technology or Human Resources


In depth practical system architecture knowledge of HR Systems with a proven track record of delivering HR system change projects including integrations


People management skills - introducing and building ways in which people can learn from each other, encouraging mentoring and the transfer of knowledge by designing and delivering learning interventions


Excellent organizational skills, documentation skills and attention to detail.


Analytical thinking and ability to understand and interpret information.


In depth HR Process Knowledge and change management experience


Understanding of AI/Machine Learning concepts


Nice to have:


Experience of Sage People, SmartRecruiters, Enboarder, Nintex


Experience of multiple system integrations implementation


Computational Skills including excel, PBI, PowerTools


Project/Process Management Training (Six Sigma, Lean, Prince2, AgilePM)
