HSCNI Procurement & Logistics Project Manager (\xc2\xa349-55k) ERP Replacement

VANRATH are delighted to be recruiting a HSCNI BAND 8A Senior (Procurement and Logistics) Project Manager for one of the largest ERP projects in NI. This Project Manager role will run initially for 6 months (with possibility of extension) to give you an idea the project aims to be completed by Autumn 2026.

This role will need an experienced candidate who can take a lead role in the functional area of delivery. There is scope to use this as a way into an HSCNI organisation, if a permanent role is the end goal.

Project:

Procure and implement the replacement of the current Finance, Procurement, Logistics, Human Resources, Pay and Travel Management systems. The project is through the procurement phase and is now progressing to design and implementation phase.

Responsibilities:

  • Successfully deliver key components of complex transformational projects within the Programme to time and budget as directed by Senior Programme Manager, Programme Director, the Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) and Project Boards.
  • Work collaboratively within the Programme and with stakeholders to develop business cases when required.
  • Provide expert project management advice and support to Programme stakeholders.
  • Work closely with external suppliers/vendors for the procurement and subsequent implementation of Programme solutions and services.
  • Have capability and understanding to facilitate the use of a broad base of technologies to deliver the Programme.
  • Play a lead role in the design and implementation of innovative solutions which deliver the business requirements for the Programme.
  • Work with specialist advisors in legal and procurement services to successfully deliver projects and their relevant contractual agreements.
  • Plan, monitor and report on projects using the standard programme and project management software tools as well as agreed Programme procedures.
  • Set up project and programme structures for the effective management, quality assurance and reporting of projects and programmes.
  • Liaise with programme management and related projects to ensure that work is not overlooked or duplicated.
  • Financial planning and control of individual capital and revenue project and programme budgets.
  • Report project progress via agreed reporting mechanisms such as highlight reports and end-stage assessments.
  • Work closely with Business Change Managers in organisations to ensure and enable business readiness to implement and adopt new systems and processes.
  • Manage project resources, including administration resources.
  • Provide direction to Project Sponsors, Senior Project Managers and Project Managers to guide them through Programme Management standards and wider Digital Health and Care Programme governance processes
  • Organise and prepare for post project evaluations (PPE) and Gateway reviews to assess Programme management against standards. Disseminate lessons learned and facilitate or follow up recommendations as required.
  • Maintain a reflective approach to service provision to ensure an on-going commitment to improvement.
The Ideal Person:
  • A university degree or professional qualification and have worked for at least 3 years\' experience in a project management role within a major organisation;
  • Have worked for at least 3 years in a project management role within a major organisation
  • Have experience of leading ICT supported projects with a budget of over \xc2\xa3100,000
  • Experience in the area of project /programme management and the associated management reporting to effect good governance and controls.
  • Experience in analysing complex system information to align business processes, develop solutions and associated implementation plans against demanding timescales to effect successful outcomes.
Desirable
  • Certification of Managing Successful Programmes (MSP or equivalent)
  • Previous experience of implementing large scale IT systems across multiple areas/organisations such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to successful conclusions
Remuneration:

BAND 8a HSCNI pay grade, plus holiday pay, pension and discount benefits.
