LDD, part of Acteon Group, is a marine and subsea foundation specialist. Using our extensive in-field experience, we design, engineer, build and operate world class pile-installation, lifting equipment and drilling equipment to deliver tubular foundations of any size, in any geology, anywhere.
LDD are looking to add a HSE Advisor to their UK based team on a full time, permanent basis.
The HSE Advisor is responsible for handling all HSE aspects of LDD's day-to day business,
projects and Integrated management system.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Observation/Incident/Near miss review, investigation (RCA) and closeout coordination (CAPA)
- Concept, plan and conduct area safety inspections
- HSE inductions and HSE trainings
- Risk assessment moderation, review and document management
- COSHH review and document management
- Management of safe work instructions
- HSE inductions and trainings
- ESG/sustainability reporting
- Certification body audits
- Auditor engagement
- Internal audit and audit management
- Management reviews
- Maintain the integrated management system (IMS) and its platform compliant to ISO 9001,45001 & 14001
- Improve IMS procedures and align IMS procedures with sister companies
- Customer HSE audits
- Review of project HSE plans
- Tender/proposal/contract HSE requirements review and support
HSE
- All work to be executed as a minimum in accordance with the company H & S policy statement and company H & S Plan
- Reasonable care to be taken for the health and safety of the jobholder, and others that may be affected by his acts or inaction's at work;
- Take positive steps to understand, and keep up to date with, the hazards in the workplace and comply with safety rules and procedures;
- All tasks carried out in accordance with the organisation's policies, procedures and legislation in line with BS EN ISO14001 and EN ISO45001 or any other relevant standard as agreed by the business/client.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in comparable health and safety positions across multi-site organisations
- Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent qualification preferred, holding comparable qualifications in quality and environment would be a plus
- Good working knowledge of offshore industry regulations, technical standards and health and safety related requirements would be a plus
- Possess ISO 9001, 45001 & 14001 knowledge and practical experience with it
- Being a member of relevant industry bodies, such as IOSH whilst maintaining continual professional development would be a plus
- Holding offshore certificates such as BOSIET, HUET, GWO or STCW would be a plus
- Be familiar with using advanced hazard analysis techniques
- Have experience in writing policies and procedures and their implementation
- Be an experienced user of Microsoft O365, especially Sharepoint and Teams
- Advanced written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Be an advocate for change and have the ability to influence others to deliver change initiatives
- Be a self-starter and able to prioritise own and department activities to meet deadlines
- Be practically minded and process driven
