HSE Advisor - Somerset \xe2\x80\x93 Permanent

Scantec are currently working with a global leader in providing industrial services and solutions for the Petrochemical, Nuclear, Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Naval, Renewable and Construction industries. With over 50,000 employees globally, they have an impressive presence worldwide, and provide a far-reaching network of opportunities for their employees.

Due to continuous growth and expansion, they are currently seeking HSE Advisors to join their team based in Somerset. You will be providing HSE consultancy across a multi-functional project.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring all the HSE standard are being met across the project
• Carry out all day-to-day duties within strict compliance with company policies and procedures
• Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders
• Continuous monitoring of company employees and contractors with regards to their health and safety and welfare
• Carry out regular HSE inspections across the site and immediately report any trends to the discipline manager
• Provide specialist consultancy on HSE related topics
• Ensure that company duty of care responsibilities are implemented following any incident, as well as supporting accident/ incident management and investigation
• Ensure interventions are in implemented when unsafe practices are identified
• Provide HSE training and support, as well as support company site HSESS functions

Requirements:

• NEBOSH certificate
• Construction background with significant experience, ideally in the Nuclear industry
• Excellent ability to convey/ communicate HSE procedures and expectations
• Working knowledge of HSE regulations
• IT literate, especially MS packages
• Ideally background in COSHH, DSEAR
• IOSH membership or similar

4 day week (Monday to Thursday)
Some weekends required as OT (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)

Candidates will need to be put through a clearance process (if you don\xe2\x80\x99t already have it) and thus must be British Nationals who have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years
