Crown Flooring & Facilities is one of the UK's leading flooring and property maintenance providers, working across education, healthcare, commercial, residential, and secure environments.
We're looking for an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Manager to join us.
This flexible role is ideal for a professional who can lead our H&S function while supporting our operational teams across the UK.
Role & Responsibilities
Managing all aspects of Health & Safety compliance across the business
Conducting audits, inspections and site visits
Leading on RAMS and COSHH documentation
Delivering H&S training, inductions and toolbox talks
Ensuring compliance with ISO, CDM 2015, RIDDOR and all relevant H&S regulations
Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions
Supporting both public and private sector projects, including secure environments
Promoting a culture of safety, wellbeing and continuous improvement
Develop processes and reporting
Hands-on role
Part-time (2-3 days) or Full-time considered. Normal hours of work will be from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
A full time position would include work with an associated company.
Flexible approach to working hours, commensurate with the demands of the position and occasional UK travel to regional offices and work sites. This may include evening and weekend work as necessary to fulfil your responsibilities effectively.
Requirements
NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (minimum)
Experience in construction, facilities, or similar operational environments with a mobile workforce
Practical understanding of site-based H&S and compliance
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Willingness to travel to branches and project sites, ability to obtain DBS clearance
Commercial awareness and ability to work with the Board
Clear, confident communication skills.
Proficient IT skills including use of MS Office & ERP Systems
Professional approach, consistent with the high levels of compliance expected working with predominantly public sector customers.
