What will you be doing?
As a HSQE Officerfor BES Infrastructure, you will be supporting the implementation of company and division-wide health, safety, quality and environmental (HSQE) policies and procedures, helping to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across the group.
You will:
Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks and company inductions as required.
Conduct audits of company and Infrastructure Division processes.
Carry out site and office safety inspections across the company and Infrastructure Division.
Support accident and incident investigations across the company and Infrastructure Division, ensuring corrective actions are identified and resolved within appropriate timescales.
Maintain accurate safety documentation and records.
Maintain the company and Infrastructure Division Risk and COSHH Management systems - inclusive of the creation and review of assessments.
Support legal compliance across the company and Infrastructure Division to key legislation
Assist in maintaining ISO:45001, ISO:9001 and ISO:14001 Management Systems and RISQS accreditations across the company and Infrastructure Division.
Promote a positive health and safety culture.
Provide technical support to operational areas of the across the company and Infrastructure Division.
Support compliance with client requirements - Network Rail, National Highways etc...
Analyse leading/lagging indicators; produce concise monthly reports to the Senior HSQE Manager with trends and recommendations.
Review and analyse fatigue data.

To join our team, you will need:
NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent Level 3 H&S)
Membership of IOSH.
Familiarity with PUWER/LOLER/WAH/COSHH and Risk Management Principles.
In-depth knowledge of current health and safety legislation and best practice.
Experience conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
Good communicator at all levels; able to coach and challenge constructively.
Analytical with strong attention to detail; confident with managing data and reporting.
Organised, methodical and able to prioritise across multiple projects and industry sectors.
Competent IT user (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Excel/Power BI).
Practical, solution focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
Full UK driving licence; UK-wide travel and overnight stays as per company requirements.
