Job Description


Purpose of the job

The HR Administrator supports all areas of HR in the delivery of people solutions to the wider Nuvia business.

Reports to

HR Manager

Key Accountabilities

Administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties, including but not limited to:

\xc2\xb7 Management of the HR and Pensions Inbox[MR1]

\xc2\xb7 Processing of new starters, through tasks such as creating offer letters and written statement of particulars, updating the relevant company systems and transacting appropriate benefits

\xc2\xb7 Processing of leavers, through tasks such as resignation acknowledgement, updating company systems ahead of leave date and carrying out exit interviews

\xc2\xb7 Processing of changes to employees\' terms and conditions in line with payroll and business led deadlines

\xc2\xb7 Processing of payroll changes including liaising with payroll, providing solutions to employee payroll queries and importing payment into the bank for review and approval

\xc2\xb7 Processing of purchase orders to support the HR function in timely payment of invoices

\xc2\xb7 Processing of Sickness Absence, through the review data / forms received across the business & ensure pay data is correct ahead of payroll deadlines. Escalating absence concerns to the respective business areas\' HR Manager or HR Advisor

\xc2\xb7 Running of scheduled and adhoc reports to support the HR team, including reports such as diary notes, long service reporting, group (VINCI) reporting, outstanding return to work discussions and any other basic HR reports

\xc2\xb7 Supporting the business with adhoc HR tasks, such as the cycle to work scheme and healthcare scheme administration,

\xc2\xb7 Supporting internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR function

Required Technical Competence:

  • Organised and methodical approach to administration
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Excellent data entry skills
Profile

Occupational Skills and Knowledge

\xc2\xb7 CIPD Accredited (Desirable skill) or working towards essentially a determination to build a career in HR

Duties and Requirements

Essential skills:

\xc2\xb7 Practical administrative experience

\xc2\xb7 Good level of Numeracy & literacy required - GCSE or equivalent

\xc2\xb7 Honesty, integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality

\xc2\xb7 Strong interpersonal skills

\xc2\xb7 Excellent written and verbal communication skills reflected within customer service, emails, letters and report delivery

\xc2\xb7 Methodical and flexible approach to work, with excellent attention to detail

\xc2\xb7 Able to prioritise and plan work activities using time efficiently

\xc2\xb7 Able to work autonomously, under own initiative and as part of a team

\xc2\xb7 Team worker and customer focused

\xc2\xb7 Must be dependable, able to follow instructions and respond to management direction

\xc2\xb7 Excellent working knowledge of Office 365 mainly Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

\xc2\xb7 Solution focused when faced with problems to make reasonable decisions

\xc2\xb7 Ability to communicate and build rapport with colleagues at all levels of the business

Desirable skills:

\xc2\xb7 Adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify potential issues

\xc2\xb7 Setting self-targets to achieve objectives

\xc2\xb7 Able to improve performance through management feedback
