Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable HR Advisor to join our HR Operations Team within the People and Organisational Development Directorate. This Band 5 role supports the HR Manager in delivering a high-quality, comprehensive HR advisory service to managers and staff across the Trust. The postholder will provide expert guidance on a range of employee relations matters, ensuring alignment with Trust policies, employment legislation, and best practice.



Working collaboratively within a supportive team structure, the HR Advisor will manage a varied caseload, contribute to policy development, and play a key role in workforce planning and service improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong interpersonal and analytical skills, a CIPD Level 5 qualification, and a passion for delivering consistent, fair, and effective HR support.

Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and staff on a range of employee relations matters, including attendance management, disciplinary and grievance procedures, performance, and organisational change. Manage a delegated caseload, ensuring timely and consistent handling of cases in line with Trust policies and employment legislation. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and systems to support effective service delivery. Deliver training and briefings to managers on HR policies, procedures, and people management skills. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all HR cases, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational standards. Collaborate with colleagues across the HR Operations Team to ensure a consistent and high-quality HR service. Analyse workforce data and produce reports to inform management decisions and service redesign. Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion across the Trust, ensuring fair and non-discriminatory HR practices. Participate in HR-related projects, audits, and research activities as directed by the HR Manager or Head of HR Operations. * Represent the HR function at meetings and working groups as required, contributing to Trust-wide initiatives and service development.
