Purpose of Role



This role will commence in January 2026

To work with the HRM in providing a first class HR service to all customers within the business. To carry out the bulk of HR transactional activities.

Working semi-autonomously at ABC Doors so that the majority of issues and workload can be resolved without involvement of the HRM.

Working across all sides of the business but primarily main HR point of contact at ABC Doors.

Key Accountabilities



? Responsible for updating and maintaining all HR records across Teckentrup UK and ABC Doors.

? Providing HR advice to staff and managers, involving the HRM as needed.

? Undertaking HR projects as required

? Responsible for booking training and maintaining training records across the whole business

? Responsible for keeping certificates and skills matrices up to date so that Engineers are properly skilled and certified before they go on jobs at client sites and Planners are able to select staff with the correct skills/experience for each job.

? Assisting the HRM in delivering training to staff

? Advising and guiding managers to resolve ER issues.

? Undertaking with onboarding and offboarding activities

? Creating and providing reports on training, appraisals, absence, etc to managers

? Providing monthly payroll data to Finance

? Keeping database of DBS Disclosures up to date.

? Ensuring that HR policies and procedures are implemented consistently and correctly

Dimensions of Role



? Carrying out inductions and training for staff

? Maintaining HRIS (currently Sage HR)

? Providing support for recruitment activities, including advertising vacancies, pre-screening candidates and carrying out interviews and assessment.

? Assisting the HRM with any HR related activities

? Providing HR advice and guidance to managers and staff, elevating issues to the HRM as appropriate.

? Oversee NVQ training

? Assist in monitoring and booking mandatory training, such as IPAF, PASMA, BSEN16005, Asbestos, DHF

? Maintain (or support) engineer skill matrix

? Booking training, follow-up assessment of effectiveness of training

? Maintaining records of training and ensuring that certificates and qualifications are sought and obtained before current certificates expire

? Updating and maintaining filing systems

? Drafting correspondence, offers and contracts/amendments to contract for staff.

? Attending and minuting HR meetings, such as disciplinaries, capability meetings, redundancies, etc. Guiding managers in the application of such processes.

? Assisting in administering surveys and other activities covering employee relations.

? With guidance from the HRM, ensuring that managers are able to resolve ER issues from start to completion. Also equipping managers with the skills to manage staff and ER issues.

? Any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager or senior managers

Desirable Qualifications & Experience



Desire and interest in developing further in HR as the Company grows

Willingness to travel, on occasion, to other sites.

HR qualification

Knowledge of application of employment law

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Characteristics



At least 12 months previous relevant experience in HR and training

Good written and spoken English

Excellent IT skills, including using MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)

Ability to build great rapport with teams and colleagues

Excellent attention to detail

A pragmatic and proactive approach to problem solving in your work

Flexible approach to work and location as the post holder will need to work across two or more sites.

Indefinite leave to remain and work in the United Kingdom.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 30,000.00-32,000.00 per year
