Due to retirement, we are looking for an experienced and highly organised HR and Personal Assistant to support our managing director and lead key HR functions across our operation.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and organised individual to join our team as a Part-Time Human Resources Officer, with additional PA responsibilities to support the Managing Director. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, has a strong understanding of HR practices, and can provide high-level administrative and organisational support.
This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, confidentiality, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources:
Support the end-to-end recruitment process including posting job adverts, arranging interviews, and onboarding new staff.
Maintain and update HR records and employee files, ensuring compliance with data protection and employment law.
Manage absence and holiday records and monitor probationary periods and contract renewals.
Assist with employee relations matters and coordinate performance appraisal processes.
Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Organise training sessions and maintain training records.
Liaise with external HR consultants or legal advisors as required.
PA to Managing Director:
Act as a first point of contact for the Managing Director, managing emails, calls, and correspondence as required.
Organise and maintain the MD's diary, including scheduling internal and external meetings.
Prepare agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions for key meetings.
Handle travel arrangements, expenses, and event planning.
Provide confidential administrative support on both business and occasional personal matters.
Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and other documentation.
Key Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in an HR role with working knowledge of UK employment law (CIPD qualification desirable but not essential).
Prior experience in a PA, EA, or administrative role supporting senior leadership.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality.
Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
