We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of Human Resources Assistant at the 100 Force Support Squadron, Royal Air Force (RAF) Mildenhall, United Kingdom.
What will be your primary role?
As a Human Resources Assistant within the Civilian Personnel Flight, this position supports recruitment and placement efforts by performing a variety of recruitment and placement program duties.
Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulations and policies, generating reports to track critical deadlines for civilian employees, processing personnel actions and providing data automation support for civilian personnel functions, using various software applications to facilitate monitoring critical suspense's on behalf of civilian employees, to ensure suspense's are met.
You will also prepare correspondence memorandums, draft responses to supervisors and employees regarding recruitment and placement activities, compose handouts and training materials for New Employee Orientation sessions and training programs as well as respond to visitors and callers inquiries furnishing information concerning a variety of programs and employment entitlements and participate in special recruitment initiatives such as paid advertisements, job fairs, and job information seminars, to promote employment opportunities and inform potential candidates of employment procedures.

One year's specialized experience in a similar role or 4 years further education above high school level is required.

What are the Key Skills required for this role?
1. Knowledge of an extensive body of recruitment and placement rules, procedures, and operations to perform a wide variety of HR interrelated or nonstandard support work assignments.
2. Knowledge of different systems to enable you input, store, retrieve data and perform quality review of data elements.
3. Knowledge and experience of automation software functions to support a full range of office operations and production of a variety of documents.
4. Skill in researching, analyzing, interpreting and applying personnel guidelines, policies, rules and regulations.
5. Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
What are the conditions of employment for this role?
1. You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations.
2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential.
3. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period.
4. Overtime may be required, and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent.
5. You must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
6. You may be required to use own vehicle to meet tentative employees at the visitor center in order to obtain evidence of identity.
7. You must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
8. Hours of work Monday to Friday 0800 -1630. Start and end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organizations flexible working policies.
