Employee Relations (HR) Business Partner

who's ready to take the lead on operational HR and casework, with a practical, people-first approach.



You'll act as the go-to expert on employment matters, guiding managers, supporting casework, and ensuring our policies and documentation are robust, consistent, and legally sound. If you love working in the details, influencing day-to-day decisions, and coaching managers with clarity and confidence - this role is for you.

What you'll be doing:



Leading on low to mid-risk ER casework (absence, disciplinary, grievance, conduct, etc.) Coaching line managers through formal and informal people processes Interpreting and applying policies in line with UK employment law Drafting documentation and maintaining accurate HR records Supporting audits, reporting, payroll liaison and compliance activities Collaborating with our Training and HR team to embed strong foundations across the employee lifecycle Helping spot risks before they arise - and fixing things before they go wrong

This role is brand new to Airbox, so will be offered on an initial 6 month fixed term contract, with the possibility of converting to a permanent role or being extended.

You'll need to bring:



Essential:



Proven experience in an HR or ER advisory role (ideally logistics, fulfilment or multi-site ops) Solid knowledge of UK employment law and best practice Clear, confident communication skills - written and verbal Impeccable attention to detail and strong organisational skills Experience handling sensitive information with discretion and care

Desirable:



CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience) Experience using HR systems like Rippling Exposure to hourly-paid, shift-based or warehouse environments A background in a high-growth or scaling business

ER cases resolved fairly and swiftly Confidence from managers in your support and coaching Well-kept documentation and compliance with law and policy Tangible improvements to process, templates and risk mitigation

HR Manager or Training Manager Lateral moves into L&D, Talent, or International HR projects
