Job Opportunity: Human Resources Business PartnerOn behalf of our client, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, MPA Recruitment is inviting applications for the role of Human Resources Business Partner based in Adelaide Street, Belfast.This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected public sector organisation and play a key role in delivering a proactive, customer-focused HR service.Location: Adelaide Street, BelfastWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm (37.5 hours/week)Salary: xc2xa321.98 per hourContract: Temporary (Public Sector)Key ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, the successful candidate will:

  • Deliver effective HR support across assigned business areas, with flexibility to rotate across departments.
  • Provide high-quality advice and guidance on complex employee relations issues including grievance, disciplinary, dignity at work, and attendance management.
  • Support managers in applying HR policies, employment legislation, and best practice principles.
  • Foster consistency and collaboration by sharing best practices with HR colleagues across the organisation.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and representative bodies.
  • Manage the Employee Relations team in line with performance and attendance management frameworks.
  • Contribute to key HR areas such as Health & Wellbeing, HR policy and projects, resourcing, and Learning & Development.
Essential CriteriaQualifications:
  • Postgraduate Diploma in HR Management or equivalent Level 7 qualification.
  • Professional membership of the CIPD at Associate level (Assoc CIPD) or above, or ability to obtain this within 12 months.
Experience:
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a Human Resources role providing professional advice to senior management on complex employee relations issues.
  • Demonstrable experience in at least four of the following:
  • Attendance Management
  • Grievance and/or Dignity at Work
  • Disciplinary Case Management
  • HR Policy and Procedure Development
  • Delivery of HR Projects aligned with business goals
  • In-depth knowledge of employment legislation related to employee relations.
Skills:
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Customer-focused with a high level of attention to detail.
Desirable Criteria
  • Chartered Member of the CIPD (MCIPD) or higher.
  • Experience in dispute resolution such as mediation or coaching.
  • HR experience within the public sector or local government.
  • Proven ability to work with trade unions.
Other Requirements
  • A valid driving licence or access to suitable transport, as travel throughout Northern Ireland will be required.
