Are you passionate about people and ready to take your first step into the world of HR? We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, curious, and ready to learn. In this role, you'll be part of a supportive team that's focused on helping our people thrive.
You'll work closely with our HR Business Partners and line managers, getting involved in real projects that shape how we support, grow, and develop our people in the East Coast route. This is more than just a support role-it's a chance to build your skills, gain hands-on experience, and make a real difference.
From day one, you'll be involved with a variety of tasks-from supporting with generalist case work including absence management and employee relations, talent and workforce planning, to helping deliver change programmes, supporting with projects, and improving how we do things using data and insight to inform those improvements. About the role (External)
Role and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
1. Offering proactive, professional HR support to help deliver our people and HR plans.
2. Assisting with talent management, workforce planning, and performance planning.
3. Supporting change programmes from start to finish.
4. Helping manage HR projects and keeping everything on track.
5. Conducting research, creating reports, and analyzing data to support HR initiatives.
6. Finding ways to improve how we support our teams.
7. Keeping your HR knowledge fresh and contributing to new ideas.
8. Taking ownership of your work in HR programmes.
9. Helping out with admin and operational HR tasks as needed.
You'll thrive in this role if you:
Deliver excellent customer service with a positive, can-do attitude
Bring experience from fast-paced, complex environments
Have a sharp eye for detail and accuracy
Communicate clearly and confidently, both in writing and in person
Stay organised, manage your time well, and keep calm under pressure
Adapt easily to change and approach challenges with resilience and flexibility
Are confident using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Have experience coordinating events and making them run smoothly
Enjoy digging into data, doing research, and drawing insights

Have supported the delivery of HR projects and initiatives
Do you have:
A CIPD qualification or relevant HR experience?
A degree or equivalent experience?
