We are seeking to recruit to a 11-month limited term contract to provide maternity cover within our Human Resources Section. In this key role you will support the delivery of confidential, efficient and high quality HR Services across the Council. Responsibilities include assisting with administrative tasks, maintaining accurate employee records and supporting the HR team to ensure smooth operations.
You must have CIPD level 3 or equivalent, experience in an HR environment, knowledge of current employment legislation and HR best practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work on your own initiative and a commitment to confidentiality are a must.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential
CIPD Level 3 or equivalent
Demonstrable experience in a HR Administrative/Assistant role
Knowledge or current employment legislation and best HR practice
Ability to effectively organise allocated work activities, set priorities and work to deadlines
Ability to work independently to solve a range of problems relating to administrative processes
Ability to deal with complex HR issues and provide accurate and timely guidance and advice
Ensure high levels of confidentiality and communication are maintained with all stakeholders
Ability to build effective working relationships
Self-motivated, engaging, enthusiastic with a positive manner, strong 'can-do' approach with the ability to work as part of a Team
Ability to use own initiative and work independently
Excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel
