We are looking for an experienced
HR Manager
to proactively support the business to drive our people strategy forward in a standalone role.
You will have extensive generalist HR experience ideally underpinned by a CIPD level 5 (minimum) qualification. You will be confident with current and upcoming employment law, best practice and its application. We are looking for someone who has a keen interest in learning and development and can work with line managers to identify opportunities to drive our people forward in their role and in their development.
You will be in your element, balancing operational and strategic tasks. You will be happy to perform HR admin tasks or develop policies as well as providing credible HR support and advice at all levels across the business.
You will have sound knowledge of MS Excel and managing data, with confidence in using other MS software and HR software
Your personable and pragmatic approach will establish effective working relationships across the business
Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Making a positive impact on the Carlton culture and provide generalist HR support including employee and management advice on HR issues in line with current employment law and best practice.
Leading and embedding Carlton's HR strategy to align with the business objectives and culture.
Reviewing, updating and introducing company policies ensuring full compliance in line with legislation and maintaining/improving current accreditations - eg. Eco Vadis, ISO
Responsibility for assisting in the recruitment and selection process, ensuring a seamless candidate onboarding experience by developing and managing the induction process. Involvement in employee appraisals, exiting procedures etc.
Analysing data and key HR metric to create and presenting relevant reports to the board.
Providing and supporting performance management to ensure development and training across all teams to enable a high-performing workplace.
Responsibility for the company systems and ensuring this remains relevant and up to date to be able to report on performance targets i.e., staff turnover, sick leave etc.
Ensuring mitigations are in place to improve retention and proactively manage key contracts with external HR providers.
Leading staff surveys, suggestion schemes, and HR initiatives to ensure Carlton continues to be a great place to work.
Supporting with employee relations issues and other ad hoc projects as required.
