We are seeking a confident and experienced HR Manager to provide dedicated support across a broad range of HR functions. Acting as the first point of contact for all HR-related matters, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and compliant employee journey--from recruitment and onboarding through to ongoing support. Working closely with department heads and line managers, you'll help maintain consistent, up-to-date HR processes that reflect our company's values and contribute to a positive, people-focused workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the recruitment, selection and onboarding process of all new staff members.
Managing a company's appraisal system and conducting appraisal meetings
Ensuring that a company's procedures comply with employment regulations
Managing and training the HR team (if applicable)
Monitoring various aspects of an employee's performance, such as attendance and sick leave
Accessing the need for training and then designing and implementing training programs accordingly
Handling any disciplinary processes and formal grievances
Consulting with colleagues for HR advice or assistance as and when required (
Support succession planning by identifying key roles, skills gaps, and development pathways for internal talent
Collaborate with managers to create and track individual development plans.
Handle day-to-day HR administration and contribute to employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
Promote digital HR practices in line with the company's paperless goals.
Specific Skill Requirements
Proven experience in human resources management
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Good understanding of current UK employment law and HR best practices
Experience supporting succession planning or similar
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Confident in advising managers on HR issues including employee relations
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a supportive and approachable attitude
