We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Human Resources Manager to lead our HR department based in Lincolnshire. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in human resources management, demonstrating a strong ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with our organisational goals. This role requires excellent communication skills, a solid understanding of upcoming legislation changes and an individual who is experienced in driving a positive and pro-active culture.
THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the role is to ensure that the site is compliant the meet UK employment law. To effectively see all employees through the HR cycle albeit from a developing, recommending, training, influencing or administration perspective. You will provide information and clerical support to the employees regarding human resources activities, policies, processes and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist with the day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties working closely with the operations team and attending daily tier meetings in the production area.
2. Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc.)
3. Chair a monthly presentation with the board of Director's, reporting on relevant HR updates ( direct and temporary staffing, training statistics, production efficiencies, absence management, recruitment strategies and other business advisories.
4. Assist in the payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, leavers etc.)
5. Manage the onsite training matrix with training completion dates.
6. Coordinate and administer training and development programmes and liaising with external training bodies as required.
7. Manage and administer the online training system to ensure sufficient for employees including the onboarding and offboarding of employees.
8. Take the lead on Food Safety Culture (including meetings, minutes, questionnaire etc.)
9. Manage and distribute the site quarterly newsletter in a timely manner.
10. Be confident implementing new digital HR platforms and systems, coaching Managers and successfully driving the business forward digitally.
11. Assist with general HR matters including drafting, reviewing, implementing and developing relevant policies and procedures when required.
12. Providing advice in relation to employee performance, conduct and absence management.
13. Preparation and taking part in disciplinary procedures from investigation through to hearings.
14. Being aware of change and trends in best practice human resources management and maintaining responsibility for personal and professional development.
15. Develop and promote effective and credible working relationships with Management to ensure HR is aligned and incorporated into business decisions and actions.
16. Coaching and up-skilling managers on all aspects of leading and managing their people.
17. Ensure that all employee records are traceable electronically and effectively maintained in line with contractual changes.
18. Ensure that the site is always operated to the highest safety and BRC and UK compliance standards.
19. Ensure that the HR function is in line with the new 7.0 SMETA Methodology.
20. Continuously develop knowledge and understanding of the Business and its unique challenges and opportunities.
21. Being pro-active and innovative in identifying ways for HR to address skill gaps or development needs in managers.
22. Provide high quality, responsive and professional advice to both managers and employees on all aspects of human resources management.
23. Maintaining a high level of awareness and understanding around changes to employment legislation and case law and ensuring that Three Oceans' employment practices are compliant at all times.
24. Provide robust advice on employment relations issue to managers in a timely manner and working with them to resolve employment issues as early as possible.
25. Implement duty of care for all other employees and be responsible for environmental responsibilities in their area.
26. Be responsible for chairing a monthly workers committee and encourage staff to become representatives.
27. Be experienced in change Management and drive a pro-active and ambitious work culture.
28. Work with managers when addressing identified performance concerns with individual employees.
29. Be pro-active in contacting managers who have employees with poor attendance/performance and assist with appropriate actions including managing the absence line.
30. Oversee the full recruitment cycle and provide support, advice and tools to enable managers to make the right decisions.
31. Ensure that any employment offers are accurate and produced in a timely manner.
32. Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and other external stakeholders.
33. Assist in ensuring all policies and procedures and employment related documentation comply with legal requirements.
34. Ensure that an appropriate consultation process is undertaken with key stakeholders with any changes to policy or procedures.
35. Support Senior Managers with consultations, restructures and redundancies.
36. Identify opportunities for reward and recognition programmes to build a culture of encouraging and driving high performance.
Salary will be negotiable at interview stage and will be depending on experience.
