ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and qualified HR Manager to lead our HR department. This role involves the day to day running of an HR function, implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs to support our business objectives while ensuring compliance with employment law and fostering a positive work culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • HR Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of HR strategies aligned with our business goals and objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals, fostering a collaborative and positive work culture.
  • HR System Management: Oversee the HRIS system, ensuring accurate data management, and leveraging technology to streamline HR processes.
  • Policy Development: Develop, implement, and review HR policies and procedures in alignment with legal requirements and industry best practices.
  • Employment Law: Work with our partners at Natwest Mentor to ensure that updates to employment law are adhered to and rolled out where necessary.
  • Employee Relations (ER): Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to ensure a positive work environment.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding Support: Collaborate with our recruitment manager and hiring managers, oversee recruitment efforts, and facilitate seamless onboarding experiences for new hires.
  • Payroll Support: Work closely with our payroll assistant and finance to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Learning and Development Support: Collaborate with our in-house trainer to design and implement training programs to support employee growth and development.
  • Appraisals: Managing the company\xe2\x80\x99s end of year appraisals and quarterly catch-ups, ensuring that content is current and returned to HR ina timely manner.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven experience in HR management, ideally within the retail sector.
  • CIPD qualification (level 5 or above) or equivalent is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in ER and policy development.
  • HRIS proficiency and familiarity with payroll systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with attention to detail.
