Job Description

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to join the team at Old Down Estate. This is a standalone position for a HR Generalist. Reporting into the Estate Managers you will be responsible for all aspects of HR at Old Down Estate.

We are looking for someone to work 21 hours/week over 3 days, days and times can be discussed at interview. The hourly rate is 16.75 (FTE 34,840)

Responsibilities of the HR Manager:

Recruitment - adverts and first interviews

Onboarding - starter paperwork, reference checks, paperwork and induction

Work experience students - interviewing and arranging placements

Employee relations - disciplinaries, grievances, performance reviews

Assist in preparation of payroll

Management of the HR system (Synel)

Employee engagement - socials, gifts, newsletter

Ensure compliance with employment law

Manage the online e-learning platform

Provide advice, guidance to managers and employees

Ensure HR policies and procedures are updated and adhered to

Support operationally where required

Skills and Experience required:

CIPD Level 3 minimum

3+ years experience as a HR Generalist, preferably in a standalone role

Excellent written and verbal communication

Organised approach to work with a keen eye for detail

Previous experience within hospitality would be an advantage

MHFA qualification (desired)

Excellent computer skills - Microsoft and HR systems

A team player

Due to the location of the property it is advisable to have your own transport
