We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for supervising HR staff, ensuring effective communication across departments, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The post-holder will need to have the knowledge, confidence, and skill to advise staff at all levels in matters of HR and HR Compliance.
Duties
HR Strategy
Work with the Bursar, the Senior Leadership Team and HR Manager to manage the introduction of all HR policies in the light of approved HR strategy.
HR Administration
Maintain a full suite of HR policies.
Ensure all personnel files are up to date and organised.
Lead absence administration.
Work with the Head and Bursar to issue contracts, offer letters and all other administration associated with safer recruitment.
Aid the Head and Bursar maintain the Single Central Register.
Aid end-to-end recruitment including all associated administration.
Assist the Head, Bursar, the Deputy Bursar to ensure that the School's recruitment procedures and records are effective, and meet Safer Recruitment requirements.
Assist with all administration during the recruitment & selection process, including compilation of all recruitment packs and adverts being mindful of different job boards for various positions.
Aid with pre-employment checks as recommended by Keeping Children Safe in Education, Estyn, CIW and safer recruitment practices.
Work within the recruitment budget.
Training & Development
Contribute to the school's staff training policies.
Co-ordinate any training requests from SLT.
Aid in the maintenance of the School training matrix to ensure compliance.
Aid the Head and Bursar to ensure the effective induction of new staff.

Aid with preparation of information for Finance to issue payroll.
Performance Management
Assist the Head and Bursar to ensure the effective performance management and appraisal of all staff.
Ensure that the Staff Code of Conduct is appropriately and effectively applied and is well-communicated to staff.
Advise senior managers on the correct procedures to be followed in managing staff absence and sickness.
Support any disciplinary investigations.
Grievance and Disciplinary Procedures
Update the School's Grievance and Disciplinary Procedures.
Help prepare and collate any appropriate documents in advance of grievance and disciplinary hearings.
HR Processes & Information Systems
Aid in HR processes and HR information systems at the school.
Health and Safety
Ensure compliance in H&S in the workplace.
Compliance
Liaise with the Head and Bursar on HR legislation, guidance and best/good practice.
Ensure compliance with HR legislation, guidance and good practice, and the School's HR policies.
Ensure the school is following all guidance on compliance inspections and preparations for inspections.
Liaise in conjunction with Head and Bursar with the School's HR lawyers when appropriate.
Attend HR employment updates as necessary.
