We are currently seeking

three Part-Time HR Officers

to support our growing workforce and ensure full compliance with UK employment law and Home Office sponsorship requirements.

Role Purpose



The Human Resources Officer will play a key role in supporting the people function of JAMES Y7 LTD. The role focuses on HR compliance, employee lifecycle management, recruitment support, and sponsorship-related HR governance, in line with

BrightHR

,

GOV.UK

, and

skilled worker visa

record.

Key Responsibilities HR Operations & Compliance



Manage and maintain accurate HR records using

BrightHR

, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality at all times. Administer

annual leave, sick leave, statutory leave, and all other absences

in line with

GOV.UK employment legislation

. Ensure ongoing compliance with UK employment law, internal HR policies, and best practice guidance. Support audits, inspections, and internal reviews related to HR and compliance.

Recruitment & Onboarding



Support end-to-end recruitment processes, including role postings, shortlisting coordination, interview scheduling, and offer documentation. Maintain complete and accurate recruitment records within BrightHR. Assist with onboarding, induction processes, right-to-work checks, and probation tracking.

Employee Support & Engagement



Act as a first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees. Support a

young, dynamic, and motivated workforce

, fostering a positive and inclusive working culture. Promote teamwork, engagement, and employee wellbeing initiatives. Support HR documentation and processes linked to

Skilled Worker Sponsor Licence

compliance. Assist senior management and key personnel with record-keeping and HR evidence required for the

Sponsorship Management System (SMS)

. Ensure HR practices align with Home Office expectations regarding sponsored and settled workers. Work closely with authorised officers, key contacts, and Level 1/2 users to ensure HR compliance supports sponsorship duties.

Essential Requirements



Bachelor's degree (BSc or equivalent)

or

a minimum of

1 year's practical HR experience

. Strong written and verbal communication skills in

English

. Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices (training support will be provided where required). Confident user of HR systems (experience with BrightHR is desirable but not essential). Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage confidential information professionally. A collaborative, proactive, and supportive team player.

Eligibility & Suitability



Must hold

permanent right to work in the UK

or a

British passport

. Must be UK-based and able to work remotely with occasional access to company workspaces. Suitable for individuals seeking flexible, part-time professional HR work within a high-growth organisation.
