Applications are invited for a Human Resources Officer (Reward & Benefits) role in the Human Resources Department.
Working closely with the Deputy and Head of HR Operations to provide an innovative, and effective reward and benefits service, taking forward processes whilst working closely with a wide range of stakeholders including end-users, trade unions, University management, HR colleagues, and external suppliers.
The post holder will provide effective HR advice for reward and benefits issues, and support the processes, including academic promotion, professorial banding, job evaluation, academic probation, sabbatical leave, performance and recognition awards and a range of benefits including nursery and bike scheme.
As a member of the Human Resources Operations department the post holder will manage the provision of an effective, proactive service for the University seeking advice and support as required. They will produce policies and procedures relevant to the role and will ensure that the University's HR policies and processes meet statutory and good practice requirements.
The post holder will need to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a good understanding of employee benefits and job evaluation. In addition, the successful candidate will need significant experience of process redesign, input into policy design and application of rewards and benefits matters. Applicants will need to be qualified to CIPD level 5.
