The Opportunity:



As a Humanities Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring and educating students through engaging and effective online lessons. You will help deliver a curriculum that meets the needs of students aged 8 to 18, ensuring they receive a high-quality, personalised learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:



Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote student engagement and academic progress. Safeguard student welfare by following defined safeguarding processes. Inspire and motivate students with subject knowledge and a passion for teaching. Stay up to date with current research and pedagogical practices through professional development. Assess students regularly using timely and adaptive methods and digital tools. Foster a positive and inspirational learning environment in your classroom and department. Support the school's improvement priorities and self-evaluation processes. Provide guidance to students on educational, wellbeing, and safeguarding matters. Contribute to assessments, reports, and references for students in a timely manner. Participate in meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:



Required



Strong subject knowledge in Humanities Awareness of student motivation and support for students with challenging circumstances Up to date knowledge of safeguarding procedures and regulations Excellent written and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience in the primary, secondary, or college sector Experience in state or independent school sector Ability to create and review teaching resources

Preferred



Experience in online teaching environments Experience with digital learning platforms and tools Familiarity with IGCSE and A Level curricula Experience with GCSE and Functional Skills qualifications Strong organisational and time management skills
