We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team here at Mitie as we are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable HVAC Technician to be able to Carry Maintenance on HVAC Systems at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire. UHCW is currently one of the biggest healthcare facilities in the whole of the UK.

Responsible for Maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and performing other related duties.

Must be able to work in a team-based setting, sharing workload and information with other members of the team to ensure our client is satisfied.

Considerable knowledge of Healthcare Engineering services within the HVAC profession Experience of Working in an acute or non-acute hospital setting preferred.

Able to demonstrate a commitment to and understanding of the importance of treating all individuals with dignity and respect appropriate to their individual needs All staff are expected to engage in compassionate and inclusive leadership in the provision of high-quality care and interactions with others other requirements specific to the role Essential criteria.

Skills/Experience

Experience in Maintaining Air handling systems. City & Guilds 2079 category 1 Knowledge of HTM 03-01 Experience in refrigeration and air conditioning. City & Guilds Level 2 in Air conditioning & refrigeration

Main Duties

Carry out Mechanical and Electrical inspections and Maintenance on Air handling systems to bring them to optimal performance. Perform grease bearings, change bearings on fan and motors were required. Change belts, belt adjustment. Change fan motors, laser alignment. Change and clean Glass traps where required. Filter change. Clean Air handling unit to a high standard Fault finding Take Air Reading / Air change Rates. Maintenance of Medical and domestic refrigeration units Fault finding on Dx Air conditioning system. Weekly Chiller Inspections Change Valves and Actuators on heating & cooling coils.
