We are seeking a skilled, hands-on

Hybrid Maintenance & Setter Technician

to join our team at

Eurotube 2005 Ltd, trading as Global Tube Fabrication

, in Worcester. This unique role combines the responsibilities of a machine setter with those of a maintenance technician - ideal for someone with a strong mechanical and electrical background who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and making a visible impact on day-to-day production.

You'll be responsible for maintaining and setting up key machinery, supervising junior staff, and responding quickly to downtime or equipment faults. If you're proactive, technically strong, and motivated to take ownership in a busy manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities



Machine Setting & Production Support:



Set up and adjust tube fabrication machinery according to production specs and drawings. Perform tooling changes, calibrations, and fine-tuning to ensure output quality and machine efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in real time. Maintain accurate documentation of settings, adjustments, and performance.

Maintenance Duties:



Conduct regular inspections and planned preventative maintenance (PPM). Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing faults. Maintain and repair systems involving logic controllers and basic electrical circuits. Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to support troubleshooting. Perform welding tasks where required for repair and modification. Liaise with external contractors for specialist support.

Team and Customer Interaction:



Supervise and support junior maintenance team members. Foster a safe and collaborative working environment. Provide timely and professional responses to internal maintenance requests. Keep accurate logs of maintenance activities and repairs.

Skills and Experience Required



Proven experience in a similar hybrid, maintenance, or setting role. Strong mechanical and electrical systems knowledge, including logic controllers. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals. Strong leadership and mentoring skills. Excellent problem-solving and logical thinking abilities. Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Previous experience in customer-facing or service-oriented roles is a plus. Willingness to adapt, learn new systems, and embrace evolving technologies.
