Ogre Engineering Limited are looking to recruit a Trade Counter Salesperson to join their well-established Hydraulic / Mechanical Services business.

The successful candidate will be a customer focused, confident and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills. We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants with experience in Hydraulic hose and fittings identification and assembly, however training is available for the right candidate.

Duties will include:

The successful candidate will be required to work both as an individual, and as part of a team.

Identify hose types and fitting threads. Manufacture hose assemblies to required specifications, either from a pattern, drawing or production order. Pressure test assemblies safely and accurately (Training can be provided) Handle walk in customers and process counter orders. Receive goods and allocate materials to stock. Pick and pack customer orders. Ensure that all tasks conducted to meet company QMS procedures. Ensure workshop area is kept clean, tidy, and safe and that all equipment is kept in good order. Serving trade and public at trade counter efficiently and courteously Working pro-actively within the customer service team Taking control over existing stock and deliveries of all goods received. Arranging dispatch and collection of customers goods. Liaising with company management to support and implement growth strategies Delivering and collecting goods where required to support a busy workshop. Increasing the number of trading customer accounts and ensuring that this business grows Participating in external/internal staff meetings as required>

Requirements for the position:

Full UK driving license with 5 years minimum experience. Counterbalance forklift certificate, minimum of 3 ton. Experience in stock control and stock taking abilities.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 30,000.00-36,000.00 per year
