Springwell School is located on the edge of the city of Southampton and is a designated day special school for children aged from 4 - 11 years with complex learning difficulties including speech and language disorders, autism, and challenging behaviours.

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint to an additional Hygiene and Class Resources Support position, predominantly based at our StartPoint Sholing provision. We are looking for someone who is both enthusiastic and motivated, as well as hardworking, reliable, and energetic, and can work together as part of a team to ensure our school remains a clean and safe place for our children to learn.

Your contribution
Developing positive relationships with pupils and encouraging safe play
Supporting children's self-care and hygiene needs
Maintaining the cleaning and hygiene stock levels and resources
Assisting with ancillary duties such as cleaning spillages
Undertaking basic administrative tasks directed by the teacher
The ability to work to a schedule and use your own initiative
Being flexible to the changing demands of the post
Being able to work as part of a team

What will you need? Good basic education with sound literacy and numeracy skills
Experience of working with or supporting primary aged children
Awareness of needs and demands of children with complex needs
Food Hygiene certificate, or willingness to undertake training
Ability to work independently, organising your workload
Knowledge and experience of administrative processes
Ability to liaise with staff at all levels
Have enthusiasm, reliability and resilience
Strong sense of team work
Understand the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding
Working pattern - 27.5 Hours
Monday to Friday: 8.45 am - 2:15 pm
