What will this role achieve?
The Hygiene Compliance Team Manager will be accountable for the maintenance of everyday hygiene standards for the Halifax site and for the management of the site Cleaning operatives. Therefore ensuring complete adherence to the pladis Cleaning Management System (CMS), such that high standards of production area hygiene are always maintained. The role will manage site-based production area cleaning contractors and/or pladis Cleaning Teams. They will also lead on management of waste removal contractors for the site and support the application of lean techniques to ensure ongoing efficiency improvements.
What will be your key results?
Located at Halifax and reporting to the UK Manufacturing Standards Manager, the main responsibilities will include:Manage all cleaning activities that take place in and around the production area and for maintaining everyday standards of hygiene across the site Responsible for achieving budgeted figures Planning and prioritising work and ensuring maximum use of resources Ensuring efficiency and conformance to plan (cleaning schedule compliance) Manage compliance to Health & Safety requirements where they relate to cleaning activities carried out by pladis and contractors Identify measurement and publication of key performance indicators where they relate to cleaning and cleaning contractor activity

What do you need for this role?
CrucialProven experience in a Hygiene role in an FMCG company Significant experience of working in a manufacturing environment Solid understanding of Food Safety and Health & Safety legislation and its application Proficient with IT Credible teammate who is self motivated with a drive to achieve the best result Good communication skills and can work effectively with Leadership team members, Hygiene Compliance Team Managers and Operators

PreferredKnowledge of chocolate manufacturing processes & equipment Knowledge of hygiene systems Auditing Skills
