To lead the hygiene function, ensuring the site maintains high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and audit readiness. This role also carries responsibility for the Health & Safety of the hygiene team, promoting a culture of safe, compliant working.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and support the hygiene team to deliver consistent results across all shifts.
Audit Readiness
Ensure hygiene standards meet internal, BRC, and customer expectations at all times.
Cleaning Schedules
Own and maintain the Master Cleaning Schedule (MCS), including deep cleans and reactive cleans.Write and update Cleaning Instruction Cards (CICs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure clarity and compliance.Manage swabbing (ATP, allergen), visual inspections, and hygiene audits. Investigate failures and drive corrective actions.Deliver hygiene and safe cleaning method training. Ensure standards are understood and followed.Manage hygiene consumables, PPE, and chemicals within budget and in line with regulations.Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, and Technical to align hygiene activity with operational needs.Use data to drive hygiene efficiency, reduce cleaning time, and improve standards.

This role is Monday to Friday day shift however the successful candidate needs remain flexible to be able to cover evenings / nightshifts and weekends when/if required for deep cleans / holiday / sickness
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 28,000.00-32,000.00 per year
