MHT Foods are a family run business with two food production sites in Market Harborough. One site is a bakery offering a range of hand-crafted multi-portion loaf cakes, slab cakes and tray bakes, the second site produces high quality preserves, chutney's, pickles and condiments. Due to growth in the business, we are looking for new colleagues to join our team.

We have a role with an immediate start for an enthusiastic team player, 09:00 - 18:00, Monday to Friday. No experience is required as full training and support will be given to the successful candidate. An interest in food production and manufacturing would be advantageous.

Key responsibilities

Ensure all site cleaning activities are carried out as per the site Cleaning Schedule and to the correct standard. Dismantle clean and reassemble equipment and replace worn parts to manufacturers specification. Complete general cleaning duties that are responsible (but not exclusive) to the Hygiene team Ensure all tasks completed adhere to site H&S procedures Complete necessary training that is relevant to the role Assist in sites pest control scheme Communicate effectively what hygiene equipment, consumables, company clothing and PPE needs ordering Complete and maintain all routine hygiene records/documentation Communicate any issues or maintenance requirements of all hygiene equipment and effectively report these Promote the waste & recycling activities Actively participate in the continuous improvement to hygiene standards and associated costs by providing solutions to existing methods and problem solving where required. Embrace change and positively contribute to these changes where required Assist with the preparation and the day management of third party audits. Support all other departments as required to ensure that all Hygiene objectives are adhered to.
