Job Description

Contract Personnel are currently recruiting a skilled Hygiene Operatives based in the South Norfolk area. Own transport is essential due to site location.
Please note: We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in the UK at the time of application.
You'll be joining a fast-paced team where attention to detail, consistency, and compliance are key. Prior hygiene experience in a poultry, meat, or food factory environment is essential.
Duties and responsibilities:

• Carry out detailed cleaning of processing areas, machinery, and production lines to meet BRC and food safety standards
• Follow strict hygiene protocols and cleaning schedules (daily, weekly, deep cleans)
• Safely use industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals, adhering to COSHH guidelines
• Maintain accurate hygiene documentation and checklists
• Work closely with the hygiene team and supervisors to maintain audit-ready standards
• Adhere to all PPE, health & safety, and hygiene procedures in a chilled and active environment
• Any other duties as required

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Hygiene Operative in a food manufacturing or poultry processing environment
• Strong understanding of hygiene standards, food safety, and cleaning procedures
• Confident using industrial cleaning equipment (e.g. pressure washers, foam applicators)
• Physically fit and able to work in cold/chilled conditions
• Ability to work well in a team and take initiative when required

Shift pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• 14:00 - 22:00
