Hygiene Group Ltd. carries out cleaning for food, drinks, pharmaceutical and associated industries.

We now have a great opportunity for an individual with a keen eye for detail to become part of an experienced, dedicated and friendly team of Hygiene Operatives working across 2 sites at a renowned confectionery manufacturer located in both Pontefract & Castleford, West Yorkshire.

N.B. This role is to provide holiday cover and requires the flexibility to work on any day of the week.

The shifts to be covered will be notified and agreed in advance but will include:

Monday - Friday (Factory Cleaning) 08.00 - 16.00 hours at 12.21 p/h

Saturday & Sunday (End-of-Run Plant Cleaning) 06.00 - 16.00 hours at 13.21 p/h

Hygiene Operatives - The Role

Reporting to the Contract Supervisor & working in a small team, the Hygiene Operative role is to carry out a variety of cleaning duties to ensure that the production areas & equipment are maintained to necessary hygiene standards.

Shift Times are 08.00 - 16.00 hours and require a variety of cleaning duties including, but not limited to, walls, floors, and barriers.

Key responsibilities are to:

Perform a variety of cleaning and hygiene tasks as detailed within the cleaning instruction procedures. Ensure all activities are carried out and signed-off in accordance with hygiene, quality and safety standards. Be responsible for ensuring that waste material is correctly disposed of in accordance with the client's environmental systems. Be responsible for alerting the Contract Supervisor to any issues that may impact upon the integrity of the clean. Participate in mandatory site training relating to health & safety, hygiene and environmental issues.

Along with a high standard of work ethics you will also require:

Previous experience in cleaning and/or a food manufacturing environment is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided along with uniform and protective clothing.
