Overview of the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Hygiene Supervisor to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our site. The successful candidate will ensure hygiene staff are fully trained on the correct use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, follow safe practices with personal protective equipment, and report any faults or damages to machinery or hygiene tools promptly.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily hygiene activities to make sure all cleaning tasks are completed to a consistently high standard. Supervise and support Hygiene Operators in their day-to-day duties. Manage hygiene practices across both dry and wet areas, Ensure all hygiene team members are trained and confident in their assigned tasks Uphold health, safety, and personal hygiene regulations at all times. Keep hygiene records up to date in line with customer and audit requirements Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by applying relevant tools, techniques, and behaviours. Conduct root cause analysis for repeated hygiene-related issues or microbiological out-of-specification results. Lead, coach, and support the hygiene team, including handling performance reviews, attendance issues

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure Strong communication and team leadership skills Reliable with good attendance and punctuality Problem-solving mindset and self-motivated Hygiene experience (FMCG/food manufacturing desirable) Knowledge of COSHH, Food Safety Level 2+ (Level 3 preferred) Understanding of Health & Safety, Manual Handling BRC standards familiarity (desirable)
Hours of work: Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week, 8:30am-4:30pm
