The Role:
We're looking for a motivated and hands-on
Hygiene Team Leader
to join our production team. You'll be responsible for leading the hygiene team to ensure all production areas meet food safety, quality, and audit standards. This role is crucial in maintaining our BRC and customer compliance while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the hygiene team, ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard and on time.
Plan and allocate work schedules in line with production demands.
Conduct hygiene inspections and complete relevant documentation accurately.
Ensure cleaning chemicals are used safely and effectively according to COSHH guidelines.
Take active part in create Hygiene Instruction Cards to ensure
consistency, safety, and compliance
during cleaning operations.
Prepare chemical stock check weekly and ensure chemicals are ordered in a timely manner to ensure factory unit is always deep chemically cleaned.
Work closely with the Technical and Production teams to maintain and improve hygiene standards.
Train, motivate, and support team members to develop skills and understanding of hygiene best practices.
Maintain high standards of personal and team health and safety.
About You:
Previous experience in a hygiene or cleaning leadership role within a food manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and COSHH regulations.
Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Confident communicator with strong leadership skills.
Flexible, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
