Ic24 Primary & Community Care Division Sussex Clinical Lead

Kennington, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

IC24 Primary & Community Care Division Sussex Clinical Lead - 2 year fixed term

The Role

Are you an experienced GP who is passionate about clinical excellence and ensuring quality care? Do you have experience of leadership and management? If so, we would love to hear from you.
We have a unique and exciting opportunity within our Primary & Community Care Divisional team (formerly "Kent & Sussex Regional Team"). This is a key role that will deputise and support the Divisional Medical Director (DMD) in leading and driving a philosophy of continuous improvement.
You will work with the Divisional management team to monitor and optimise quality and performance of services. This requires effective leadership and management of clinical colleagues across our Sussex contracts, with a specific focus on agreed key areas. The focus for this role is our Sussex Out-of-Hours Home Visiting service (SHVS) and the Roving GP service (which delivers in-hours home visits in Brighton). As the portfolio of services is subject to change, the role will need to respond to an ever-adapting NHS landscape and to be involved in shaping the services going forwards. Working closely with the DMD, you will provide professional support, clinical expertise and support clinical governance to ensure safe and effective delivery of care to our patients.
The location of the role is flexible and can largely be performed remotely although there is an expectation to work clinically within the services being managed. There are also occasional external meetings with other stakeholders in the system and the ICB. Some exposure and experience of working in these environments is desirable. An appetite for contributing and supporting trainees as part of a learning organisation is also desirable. In return we offer a competitive package, development opportunities and the chance to join the generous NHS pension scheme.
