Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving and serving ice cream on a round on a set route in the Halton area and work on events, sometimes working along side one of our other team members who will be serving. Ensuring a timely manner while maintaining a high standard of service. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. A background in commercial driving or warehouse operations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Operate a van to deliver goods to various locations, ensuring adherence to all traffic regulations and safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the van is in good working condition. Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods. Collaborate with warehouse staff to facilitate efficient loading processes and inventory management. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers. Assist with basic mechanical tasks as needed, utilising mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.

Qualifications

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience as a commercial driver is preferred. Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver is advantageous. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is beneficial. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members. Basic mechanical knowledge to assist in vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is an asset.
