Ice Rink Assistants

Job Purpose

To supervise the ice and skate hire areas during public skating sessions, ensuring

public safety

, smooth operations, and a

first-class customer experience

.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Ensure the

safety of customers and staff

both on and off the ice Monitor that all skaters follow

rink rules and regulations

Keep an eye on the ice for hazards (bumps, holes, wet patches) and report concerns to the Duty Manager/Assistant Duty Manager Assist with

ice preparation

as needed Report emergencies or safety concerns and respond appropriately Keep all areas of the facility

clean, tidy, and safe

Deliver

excellent customer service

Provide fast and accurate service in the

skate hire area

Operate tills efficiently Support the Duty Manager and Assistant Duty manager as needed Ad hoc duties

Requirements:

Ability to manage

multiple tasks

simultaneously

Calm and professional when dealing with a

wide range of customers

Flexible availability, including

Christmas holidays

Applicants must be

16+

and eligible to work in the UK
Shift patterns vary depending on the needs of the business, working hours Monday to Friday between 14:30 - 21:00 and weekends between 9:00am - 21:30. Christmas school holidays between 9:00-21:30, closed on Christmas Day.

Successful candidate must be available for shifts during Christmas Holidays including Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Additional Pay:

Double pay on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day
Job Types: Temporary, Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 7 weeks

Pay: 8.50-12.50 per hour
