ABOUT THE ROLE


This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional who is passionate about technology and dedicated to enhancing community services through innovative IT solutions.




Design and implement new IT systems and applications, ensuring alignment with the enterprise architecture and business requirements. Establish and maintain IT standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across the council's IT infrastructure. Lead the diagnostics and resolution of complex IT issues that are escalated from 1st and 2nd line support teams. Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful project delivery. Work with third-party experts and internal teams to design and implement solutions. Take ownership of enterprise technologies and ensure their optimal performance. Stay updated with the latest technology trends and best practices. Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team. Participate in change management processes, including risk assessment and mitigation. Support the infrastructure team in various capacities, including on-premises and cloud technologies.






ABOUT YOU


The successful candidate will have




Proven track record of planning, designing, and implementing IT solutions. Extensive knowledge of VMWare (Broadcom), Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage major incidents independently. Experience working with project managers and leading projects. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to drive and occasionally work on-site as required. Enthusiastic and proactive attitude, with a desire to grow and take on new challenges.
