Established early 2015, Elementary ICT is a growing IT Support service for the education sector working primarily with schools and their Local Authority service providers. We have a vacancy within our technical support team and are looking to appoint a new ICT Support Engineer at the earliest opportunity.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide proactive and reactive ICT and AV support to client sites via telephone, remote access and regular site visits.
The post holder will be the primary support contact for a number of sites and will have responsibility for resolving or escalating support issues and requests generated from those sites as well as being actively involved in the ongoing development of ICT and AV deployment guided by the client's strategic lead.
The post holder will also assist the support team resolving requests generated by generic Elementary ICT services, requests from other client sites requiring additional resources to complete and cover for client sites where their primary support contact may be absent.
In addition to their support role, the post holder will also be an active participant in the ongoing development process for Elementary ICT software and hardware solutions for its clients.
This post requires the applicant to have the use of their own vehicle.
Successful candidates will be required to pass an enhanced DBS check.
Responsibilities
General
Assist in the monitoring of the Help Desk, prioritising requests and determining appropriate response times as per company SLAs
Resolve issues and requests relating to the post holders allocated client sites
Assist with the resolution of requests from generic services and other team member client sites
Any other duties as required by your line manager or the company Directors
Hardware
Install, maintain, repair and upgrade workstations, cabling, terminals, printers and other IT and AV equipment
Install, maintain and troubleshoot client network and infrastructure (switches, servers etc)
Assist with organising disposal of obsolete or broken equipment
Software
Create, maintain and monitor user accounts, user areas and the application of appropriate user permissions
Install, configure, monitor and maintain Virtual Host/Domain Controller/member servers and the services they deliver
Develop and deliver software packages for unattended installation
Assist with the development of new and existing Elementary ICT solutions
Training
Assist in the delivery of training at events and to small groups at client sites
Assist in the preparation of training documentation and resources
Administrative
Assist in the maintenance of accurate record keeping and auditing
Participate in client and company meetings
Assist with the development and delivery of client ICT strategy for allocated sites
Assist with the planning, management and delivery of new ICT and AV installations/solutions at

Experience and Qualifications
Undertaken qualifications/training relevant to the post
Evidence of experience in the areas described below
Windows networks
Coding in any of the following: CMD, PowerShell, HTML, PHP
Virtualisation technologies
Basic configuration/maintenance of network switches and controller based wifi solutions
Experience of working with a helpdesk call logging system
Experience of working with and assisting non-technical clients
