ICT Systems Engineer / Cyber Security Specialist



Honeywell Building Automation team is looking for a motivated

ICT Systems Engineer / Cyber Security Specialist

with an interest in Operational Technology (OT) Security to join our team in the UK.



In this role, you will work with our Building Automation Cybersecurity team, gaining hands-on experience in real-world cybersecurity scenarios. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the development of cyber solutions, testing products, troubleshooting, implementing security measures, conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, and participating in cyber assessments while learning about standards such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 2.0, NIST 800-82, IEC62443 and ISO 27001.



Honeywell Building Automation refers to integrated systems and solutions that manage various building environments, improving operational efficiency, safety, and energy use. Key components include Building Management Systems (BMS), energy management tools, HVAC controls, security systems, and fire safety solutions. By utilizing IoT technologies, cloud computing, and data analytics, Honeywell enhances real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance capabilities. These solutions deliver significant benefits, including cost savings through optimized energy usage, enhanced comfort for occupants, regulatory compliance, and support for sustainability initiatives. Overall, Honeywell aims to provide intelligent systems that ensure efficient and safe building operations.



This role is 100% remote with up to 50% travel within the UK.

Key Responsibilities



Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures for building automation systems Assume the lead role in assigned projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to customer satisfaction. Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security gaps Develop and execute cybersecurity strategies to protect against cyber threats Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of building automation solutions Stay up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity trends and best practices

Key Skills and Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field Strong experience in OT/Cybersecurity engineering or related roles Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices Experience with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

We Value



Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, GICSP OR GIAC Experience with industrial control systems and building automation Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, IEC 62443) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a global and diverse team
