We have an exciting opportunity within the Clinical Directorate, Information Governance team for an Information Governance Data Protection Support Service Officer.
The role will require some knowledge of Information Governance, Data Protection and Confidentiality, in order to provide professional advice and guidance to our subscribed General Medical Practices (GMP's).
Ideally you will have a recognised qualification or experience in Information Governance, although candidates who have a broad understanding will be considered.
You will be working as part of a dynamic and friendly team to raise the profile of data protection and information governance by supporting primary care contractors across Wales.
This role will have a base of any of our DHCW Offices.
Main duties of the job

As a key contact point for service enquiries, the ideal candidates must be dynamic and have a flexible approach to working, along with excellent communication and organisational skills, in order to provide a first-class service.
Day to day you will be responsible for supporting primary care contractors with their general enquires, providing training, auditing processes and developing support materials.
Experience in the NHS Information Governance and/or working in a Primary Care setting are desirable but not essential.
Due to geography and spread of our service you will be required to have a flexible approach to work and be able to travel on occasion to various sites across Wales as required; this may require overnight stays.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
