Job Description

Imaging Assistants are an integral part of the Radiology Team providing a high standard of patient centered care to deliver and maintain a good patient experience.



We are looking for individuals with:



GCSE (or equivalent) in four subjects, including English Language and Mathematics



Experience in a caring/clerical post



Committed to providing quality care



Highly motivated and want to be a part of a dedicated team



Excellent interpersonal skills and strong patient focus



You will become part of a professional and caring workforce delivering high standards of care to our patients, which is both challenging and rewarding.



The post will be a support role to patients undergoing tests and procedures, assisting consultants and radiographers performing radiology examinations.



Performing admin and clerical duties that relate to the department.



The Radiology facility at New Cross Hospital is a purpose-built unit completed in 2003, with excellent facilities for patients and staff.



Our brand new community diagnostic centre (CDC) at Cannock Chase Hospital, opened in 2024 and hosts CT, MRI and Ultrasound facilities.



This role will be based at the New Cross site.



Hours of work are between 08:00-17:00 Monday to Friday. No long working days are available in this position.



Weekend working may be required when necessary to cover the needs of the department.
