Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant (TA3) for a long-term supply position within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This role may lead to a permanent position for the right candidate. The successful applicant will support the educational development of young children in a nurturing and stimulating environment, ensuring that each child reaches their full potential.

Duties

Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons tailored to the EYFS curriculum. Support children in their learning activities, providing guidance and encouragement to foster independence. Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning. Monitor and record children's progress, providing feedback to the teacher on individual development. Prepare classroom resources and assist with the organisation of activities and events. Maintain effective communication with parents and caregivers regarding children's progress and well-being. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.

Skills

Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood education principles. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining records and preparing resources. Experience in supporting children with diverse needs is desirable but not essential.
