We are now seeking an
experienced Immigration Solicitor
to join our growing team and manage a varied caseload of immigration and asylum matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle a wide range of
UK immigration, asylum, and nationality cases
, from initial consultation to completion.
Advise clients on
visa applications
,
sponsorship
,
human rights
,
deportation
,
detention
,
judicial review
, and
appeals
before the Immigration Tribunals.
Prepare and submit
applications
,
representations
, and
appeals
to the Home Office, First-tier Tribunal, and Upper Tribunal.
Conduct
client meetings
, provide accurate and timely legal advice, and maintain high standards of client care.
Draft
witness statements
,
grounds of appeal
, and other legal submissions.
Maintain detailed case management records in compliance with
SRA and Lexcel
standards.
Keep up to date with immigration law and policy changes, ensuring compliance and best practice.
Support and supervise junior staff or paralegals where necessary.
Contribute to the firm's development through marketing, business growth initiatives, and maintaining positive client relationships.
Requirements:
Qualified
Solicitor
with a valid
Practising Certificate
.
Minimum
2 years' experience
in Immigration and Asylum Law.
Strong knowledge of
Home Office procedures
,
EUSS
,
Sponsorship Licence
,
Judicial Review
, and
Appeals
.
Excellent advocacy, drafting, and client care skills.
Ability to manage a busy caseload independently and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with case management systems (LEAP experience preferred).
Commitment to professional development and compliance with regulatory standards.
Desirable:
Experience supervising junior fee earners or trainees.
Accreditation under the Law Society's Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme (IAAS).
