We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Import/Export Specialist to oversee international shipping operations and optimise supply chain processes. The successful candidate will manage documentation, coordinate logistics, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as FDA standards. Responsibilities

Manage import and export procedures, ensuring adherence to international trade regulations including FDA compliance. Coordinate with freight forwarders, 3PL providers, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth logistics operations. Utilise transportation management systems (TMS), EDI, and AS400 platforms for data entry, shipment tracking, and documentation processing. Negotiate shipping rates, delivery schedules, and service terms with carriers and suppliers. Maintain accurate records of shipments, customs documentation, and compliance reports. Collaborate with sales teams using CRM software to support lead generation and customer relationship management. Monitor supply chain activities to optimise efficiency and reduce costs. Assist in developing strategies for B2B sales growth and expanding international client base. Ensure all logistics activities comply with legal standards and company policies.

Qualifications

Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management or import/export operations. Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), EDI, AS400, CRM software, and other relevant platforms. Strong understanding of international trade regulations including FDA standards. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with carriers and clients. Knowledge of 3PL services, logistics optimisation, and sales management techniques. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in data entry and documentation accuracy. Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment. Prior experience in B2B sales or lead generation is advantageous but not essential.
