We are looking for a skilled and dependable Full Stack Developer to join our growing online pharmacy team in Bradford. This role is a mix of on site and hybrid work, so you must live in Bradford or the surrounding areas.
You will be the main technical lead for our digital systems and will work closely with our pharmacists and management team.
Your work will help ensure that our website is clinically accurate, secure and easy for patients to use.
You will also support the development of internal tools, automation and new digital processes that improve the way the pharmacy operates day to day.
This is an important role for us and we want someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects, understands the responsibilities that come with working in a health care environment and wants to build systems that truly make a difference for patients.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and ongoing improvement of our online pharmacy platform
Ensure all clinical information on the website is accurate safe and in line with pharmacy standards
Build new patient facing features such as secure messaging reminders repeat prescription tools and improved checkout journeys
Work with health care service integrations
Develop and maintain custom features in PHP and related frameworks
Manage and improve our WordPress or ecommerce setup where needed
Enhance the front end using modern JavaScript and TypeScript when required
Build and optimise internal systems that support prescription processing stock control communication and daily workflow
Automate repetitive tasks within the pharmacy to improve speed accuracy and efficiency
Manage and optimise MySQL databases and ensure data is secure and well structured
Follow strong security practices and safeguard patient data at all times
Test debug and monitor the platform to ensure smooth performance across all devices
Work closely with pharmacists to translate clinical needs into practical digital solutions
Collaborate with management to plan new digital services and improvements
Keep documentation organised and maintain clear records of changes
Support the team with technical issues and act as our main in house digital expert
Explore opportunities for mobile app development or new digital tools that can enhance patient care
