Shawbrook Bank are seeking an experienced In Life Risk Portfolio Manager to join our dynamic team. Working closely with our Portfolio Management team, you will be responsible for managing existing client relationships while monitoring risk exposure for the Bank. This is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of the client relationship whilst making a significant impact within specialist finance. Regular travel to client sites is required, however the team are able to offer flexibility and are also able to consider part time applications.


Key Responsibilities

Actively manage ongoing lending monitoring for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with lending covenants and terms Conduct regular client visits (weekly travel required to various client locations) to perform on-site lending reviews Monitor borrower operations and facility covenants with meticulous attention to detail Liaise with clients and the Portfolio Management team on an ongoing basis Update relevant Risk Committees on early warning signs and manage watchlist clients Interrogate customer systems and records to confirm receivables sold to the Bank are live and enforceable Assess and quantify shortfalls in security cover, instructing clients promptly of any replacement cover requirements Implement strategic initiatives related to compliance, regulatory and risk management oversight Manage portfolio performance and exposure against policy limits


Qualifications



Proven experience in either a credit risk or portfolio management role, gained in an SME banking environment or the specialist finance sector. Able to demonstrate a knowledge of asset-based lending practices and familiarity with either block discounting facilities, HP, leasing or revolving credit facilities would be highly advantageous. Able to demonstrate proven stakeholder management experience.
