We are seeking a

dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant

to join our supportive and inclusive school community in

North London

. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who have a range of

SEN and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health)

needs, helping them achieve both academically and personally.

About the Role



As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils with a range of learning and emotional needs, both 1:1 and in small groups. Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that promote inclusion and progress. Build trusting, positive relationships with pupils, helping them develop confidence, independence, and resilience. Implement individual learning and behaviour support plans. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure each child receives the best possible support. Promote a calm, nurturing, and safe classroom environment.

About You



We are looking for someone who is:

Passionate about supporting children with SEN and SEMH needs. Patient, empathetic, and resilient when faced with challenges. Ideally experienced in an SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision setting (though training can be provided). A strong communicator and team player, able to work effectively with staff and pupils alike. Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) and/or experience working with SEN pupils are desirable but not essential.
